World Cup

This Blog is telling about the history of the FIFA World cup (Federal International Association of Football). I had been researching this topic, not only because soccer is a sport I like, but also because that the World Cup is starting tomorrow and will continue until July 11th. The current amount of teams that are in the World Cup is thirty two. The 32 teams will be competing for the title of Venus in the country that is selected to be the host nation; over a period of about a month "The World Cup Finals" will be decided through a massive tournament.Over a three year period, the teams are chosen to be in the World Cup Finals.  Out of all the sports in the world, the World Cup is the most widely watched; an estimated 715.1 million people watch this sport every year! The World Cup has been played every four years since the first tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946  because of World War II. The very first World Cup was held in Uruguay. The next World Cup will be held in South Africa, between 11 June and 11 July 2010.
