China 6/26

Today is our first day in Guilin city. In Guilin city, we met up with our cousin (Elizabeth) and her friend (Gwen). We went to the most famous cave in the city, the Reed-Flute cave. The cave was cool because most of the rocks in the cave had a name and a story. Also, inside the cave there was a lightshow.

Then, we went to a silk factory, they showed us how they made silk on the bottom floor, and on the top floor they sold silk. My mom had bought a silk comforter. After the silk factory, we went to a pearl store. At the beginning of the store we got a tour and a person showed us how they got the pearls from the oysters. After the pearl store we went to see a big rock that looked like an elephant drinking out of the Li River. At the giant rock we took a lot of pictures. At about 8:00 we went on a boat ride that showed us the city at night. Before we got on the boat someone had tried to pick-pocket my dad, but, luckily my mom caught the man before he was able to take his wallet.
