Angry, scared, and stressed, these are the things that one of our two cats feels when she is in the car. The cat I am talking about is Lucy’s cat, Laue. For some reason, whenever she gets even close to a car, she will start freaking out. First, she will start making these noises that are weird and hard to explain. Then, she will start foaming and drooling from the mouth. When she starts drooling, we know that we have to put her in her crate. The reason we know to do that is because we know what will happen next. After she is drooling, she will vomit and even start pooping. She is contained into her crate for the rest of the car ride, in case she gets sick again. There are air vents in her crate so that she doesn’t suffocate. Once we are done with the car ride (usually to our cabin) we clean off the cat and her crate. Next time we go on a car ride, we are going to give her some drugs to try and calm her down. All we hope to do, though, is try to make her as comfortable as possible in the car.
